Walking east along Donghai Avenue, the main road in Bengbu City, you can see an independent single building with several prominent words such as "China Sensing Valley". According to local sources, this is the "China Sensing Valley" in Bengbu, which is known as the "Three Valleys" of Anhui's artificial intelligence industry, along with the "China Sound Valley" in Hefei and the "China Vision Valley" in Wuhu.
Bengbu City, known as the "City of Innovation, Capital of Materials, Manufacturing Heights, and Happy Bengbu", has cultivated a number of industry-leading enterprises such as Northern Microelectronics Research Institute, Xindong Lianke, Xici Technology, Youjia Silicon Optics, Yiai Fire Protection, and Shuanghuan Electronics, and has built a complete industrial system for intelligent sensing materials, design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and application. There are over 200 enterprises related to the intelligent sensing industry in the city, including 50 high-tech enterprises and 40 specialized, refined, and new enterprises at or above the provincial level, covering all aspects of the industry, with a total economic scale of over 10 billion yuan.
Sensors, as an important means of interacting with the external environment and the main source of sensing information, have become one of the core and foundation factors determining the future development of the information technology industry. At the same time, the rise of the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence applications has led to a shift in sensing technology from single point breakthroughs to systematic and systematic collaborative innovation. The trend of large platforms and ecosystems dominating core technologies has become increasingly evident, and has become a strategic highland for developed countries and multinational corporations to layout. As one of the three major sensor production bases in China, Bengbu has formed a complete industrial system for intelligent sensor design, manufacturing, testing, packaging, and application. It is also the only city in the province that has both integrated circuit and MEMS wafer production lines.
