The nominal sensitivity of the accelerometer defines the deviation specification within the acceptable sensitivity range.
For example: the nominal sensitivity of the accelerometer is defined as 100mV/g, then the sensitivity of the actual product is generally considered to be acceptable in the range of 90~110mV/g.
1. Connect the sensor's power supply line and voltage output line according to the sensor's instructions, and connect a multimeter to the output line.
2. Place the accelerometer sensor flat on a horizontal tabletop and fix it to the state of +1g as shown in the figure below. Ensure that the tabletop does not vibrate. Read the output voltage V1 (unit: mV) of the sensor on a multimeter; flip the sensor 180 degrees and place it. It is fixed on the desktop and is in the state of -1g as shown in the figure below. After it is stable, read the output voltage V2 (unit: mV) of the sensor on a multimeter. Then the sensitivity is calculated as: S=(V1-V2)/2 (unit: mV/g). Record the data and check whether the sensitivity on the calibration certificate is close.
